How to use this

Start with your own senator. One of these 49 is yours, and yours is the one who has to answer you. The Legislature will tell you which: enter your street address here.

Everything in the contact columns is the capitol channel the Legislature publishes for constituents — the office email, the office phone, the room. No home addresses, no personal numbers. We did not collect them and would not publish them.

Every email below was read off that senator's own page, not guessed from their name. The pattern looks predictable; guessing is how a letter lands nowhere.

Mail for any of them goes to the same building:
Sen. [name], District [number], State Capitol, P.O. Box 94604, Lincoln, NE 68509-4604Capitol mailing address as published on each senator's page

If you write, write to all of them, or write to yours

This is a house rule, not advice. When this project asked candidates for comment in September 2026, four letters went out in one race and a third candidate got none — and those letters named their recipients in print. That imbalance is a real flaw, and the fix is a rule: everyone in the group gets the same question, the same way, on the same day, or nobody does. Writing your own senator as a constituent is different and always fair game.

A senator who does not answer has not said anything. On this site, silence is recorded as silence — never as agreement, and never as refusal.

The 49

Sorted by last name. 2025 is MO278, cloture on LB677, May 20, 2025. 2021 is MO67, cloture on LB474, May 12, 2021 — blank where the senator was not yet serving. Cloture needed 33 of 49 both times; both failed.

Swipe the table sideways to see the vote columns. Committee lists are hidden on a phone — open this page on a wider screen for those.

Of the senators serving today, 23 voted yes and 21 voted no on the 2025 cloture motion. Those figures count today's senators, so they are not the same as the announced result of that vote, which was 23 yes and 22 no among the senators serving in May 2025.

Answered: which Meyer, and where McKeon went

Two things on this page were marked unresolved when it was built. Both are now settled from the Legislature's own record, and the answer to each is the same seat.

District 41 changed hands three times in about two years. Sen. Tom Briese of Albion resigned in October 2023 after Gov. Pillen appointed him State Treasurer. Sen. Fred Meyer of St. Paul was sworn in Nov. 15, 2023 to finish that term. Sen. Dan McKeon of Amherst was elected in 2024 and held the seat on May 20, 2025, the day of the cloture vote. McKeon announced his resignation on the floor Jan. 13, 2026, effective that day. Gov. Pillen appointed Fred Meyer again on Jan. 14, 2026.

So the single "Meyer" on the 2025 roll call is Glen Meyer of District 17 — Fred Meyer was not in the Legislature that day. That is why Sen. Fred Meyer's row shows no 2025 vote, and why his biography page carries no election year: he has been appointed twice and never elected to the seat.

District 41 is on your November 2026 ballot. The appointee serves only until a special election for the two-year remainder of McKeon's term.

Sources, all from Unicameral Update, the Legislature's own news service: "Meyer appointed to represent District 41," Nov. 15, 2023 · "Facing expulsion vote, McKeon resigns from Legislature," Jan. 13, 2026 · "Meyer returns to Legislature," Jan. 14, 2026. The Legislature's report of the resignation states the circumstances; this page links it rather than restating it, because the reason a seat changed hands is that report's to tell, and what this page needs from it is the date.

What we have not confirmed

Not checked

Party is not on this page. The Nebraska Legislature is officially nonpartisan and does not publish a party for its members. Any party label here would come from somewhere other than the Legislature's own record, so there is none.

Term dates are not on this page. They are on the LB474 board for the fourteen senators there, derived from each bio and the constitution's two-term limit, and not checked against the Secretary of State.

Two votes is not a record. These senators vote hundreds of times. Two cloture motions on one subject is where this project happens to have looked, and nothing here should be read as a summary of anyone's work.

Committee assignments, party, and term dates are not on this page yet. Nobody here has been asked anything by this project.

How this was checked

Contact details were read on September 23, 2026 from each senator's own landing page under nebraskalegislature.gov/senators — all 49 pages, one at a time, by fetch_senator_contacts.py in this project. Each row's source page is recorded in ne_senators_contact.json. 2025 votes: the Clerk's recorded vote page for MO278. 2021 votes: the floor transcript for May 12, 2021. Corrections welcome, and will be published.
